'The Ring' (yes, that's what it's called) is designed by Joung Myung Lee and is made to hang on the wall. Why not make your fruit art? I think one full of lemons would be fantastic!

Well, one smartie got this item right (although we can only put the congrats out to 'anonymous')! It's a Zeno Pro.
Here's what the manufacturer says about it:

Oh, to have a house that we won't be selling next year. I would wallpaper and bring in bold pieces in all sorts of colours, just like these:
For now, I'll stick with what's more 'sellable', and keep all these ideas squirreled away for a while.

Star sand

If you're ever headed to Okinawa's Yaeyama islands, make sure to stop by Hoshizuna beach, where you can find star sand (cool!).

Hoshizuna is a small quiet beach, where visitors are normally crouched over the sand sorting through the grains. They are looking for miniscule five pointed stars little more than a millimeter across. To a biologist, each star is merely the exoskeleton of foraminifers—marine protozoa that once lived on the ocean floor. To the locals, they are the tiny offspring of the Southern Cross and the North Star. These children of the stars were born in the ocean just off Okinawa, but killed by a giant serpent. Their tiny skeletons are all that remains of the heavenly union. The best time to find the star sand is just after a typhoon, when rough seas have thrown fresh sand onto the beach. Otherwise, it is a slow task and most visitors find no more than a couple of grains, then resort to buying a small vial of pre-found stars.

Reno-o-rama

I think we were popping our enthusiastic reno pills over the weekend (Trevor more than me, I was just looking forward to getting a weekend since the previous two were spent working) and we've pounced back on the basement a vengeance. I was on paint duty with doors and moulding, and Trevor spent all his time in the bathroom tiling and we finally have a floor done now! We're very close to purging the vanity and toilet from the master ensuite and moving it downstairs (which means new fancy ensuite!!!).The bathroom floor, grouted and ready for business!

Yesterday I took a semi-day-off from work and saw Dan (long lost Dan...lol!), where I realized that we hadn't seen each other in almost 5 years (last time was at our wedding). Crazy. But it was like old times anyways. I tried to take us to a sushi restaurant that didn't exist (silly new construction) and we hung around Metrotown for most of the afternoon, finishing off the day with a trip to the mini-spa for a leg/foot rubdown (lovelyyyyy).
